I am a custom maker who creates mostly wooden items to fit into homes and business. I am increasingly called to repair or match something the owner already has. I find special joy in making fun and fancy which add some zest to living. To date, all my work is designed in collaboration with the customer, and is original, but created within time proven design motifs. I design all pieces focusing on native hardwoods, and waterbased finishes, and for a piece subject to wear will cut one eigths inch thick vennier to avoid the typical one 1/64″ vennier now all too common. Avoiding metal fasteners, I own a variety of equipment specially designed to make traditional joinery strong and efficiently.
